PATTAYA, Chonburi — Organizers of One Flag Thailand will attempt a world record on October 7, 2026 at 730 AM by deploying a Thai national flag measuring 4,303.04 square feet over Pattaya Beach and then bringing it down onto the sand.
The jump is billed as the first world-record mission of the campaign. The flag will be carried above the Pattaya skyline before being brought to the beach, where Prof. Dr. Keerati Charoencholvanich, dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Siriraj Hospital, is set to be the first person to land with it.
Two attempts are scheduled for the day. The first is expected to bring the flag down near Pattaya Beach at about 7:30 a.m. Organizers are urging spectators to arrive for the opening attempt: if the team completes the mission and the record is successfully recorded on the first jump, the second jump will not take place.
The event is being promoted under the banner “One Flag. One Nation. One World Record,” with support linked to the Siriraj Foundation and PR Pattaya. The public is invited to watch, show support, and serve as witnesses to the attempt.
