Suvarnabhumi Airport Issues Statement on Delayed Departures and Arriving Baggage Issues

ที่มา: The Pattaya Newsอ่านแล้ว: 2

Suvarnabhumi Airport, Bangkok:

Suvarnabhumi Airport (AOT) has issued a statement after receiving passenger complaints about delayed departures and long waits for arriving baggage. The problems began on the 26th of September 2026 and have continued through today (27 September 2026).

Checks found that flooding in many areas has disrupted travel for some ground handling staff. Some staff have been unable to get to work, leaving ground teams short-handed. Some baggage carts have also broken down. Together, this has slowed ground operations for both departures and baggage unloading on arrivals. Some outbound flights have been delayed, arriving passengers have waited longer than usual for bags, and baggage from several flights has piled up.

The airport says it is pressing airways to add ground staff as soon as possible, repair the broken carts, and find substitute equipment so leftover bags can be moved faster. It is also coordinating baggage-status screens and repeated announcements in the baggage hall so passengers know what is happening. Airport staff are on hand in the terminal and baggage area to help and give updates.

Passengers who have not received their bags can fill in a delayed-baggage form or contact support.

– International flights: 02-134-5453 to 55

– Domestic flights: 02-134-5473 to 74

– THAI Contact Center: 02-356-1111

The airport says it will keep monitoring the situation and continue pressing airways to fix the staffing shortage so services can return to normal as soon as possible.
