Sattahip: Police removed a homeless man who was shouting outside a house on Sukhumvit Road on Monday morning after the woman inside, who was alone, called for help.

The Sattahip Police radio room took the call at 11:20 a.m. on October 12th. The house is in Moo 4, Sattahip subdistrict. The caller said a homeless man was yelling at the front of the property and that she was afraid. Pol. Lt. Col. Sila Sajai, the prevention and suppression inspector, took a patrol there.

When officers arrived, the man was running back and forth across the road, and they had trouble getting hold of him. They eventually detained him, took him to a safe place, and called the agency that handles such cases. The station did not name him, say whether he was drunk or ill, or announce a charge.

The call fits a complaint Sattahip has heard before, though not at this address. On August 25th, residents and vendors around Sattahip market said a homeless man, heavily drunk, was shouting and swearing at passers-by outside Sattahip temple, where he often slept by the gate. Municipal officers were sent to move him on. Sunday’s incident was a private house on Sukhumvit, and police did not say it was the same man.
