Pattaya: Representatives of Piluna presented a decorative lighting concept for public parks to Pattaya Mayor Poramese Ngampichet at City Hall on October 20th.
The meeting took place in Room 132. Also present were the mayor’s secretary Bancha Kunlawanit, assistant secretary Wachira Thongdileo and relevant officials. Piluna outlined a lighting design called “Dara Dan Saeng Mahatsachan” (roughly “Starland of Magical Light”) under the theme “Light up brighter tomorrow.” The proposal is intended to improve the appearance of park areas, create a more attractive atmosphere, add color and serve as an additional draw for tourists while supporting the city’s tourism image.
Mayor Poramese listened to the presentation and advised the company to survey the Three Immortals Park on Khao Phra Yai, also known as Big Buddha Hill, to assess suitability and gather data for further consideration. He stressed that any development of public space must prioritize the interests of residents, especially those who use the parks regularly for rest and exercise, and must not disrupt those activities. The form of any installation should also fit the site and balance benefits for both local people and visitors. Officials will study the details before deciding on next steps.
Khao Phra Yai has seen recent municipal attention for other reasons. On September 10 the mayor inspected damaged road sections and exercise paths on the hill and ordered repairs.
No timeline or final approval for the lighting proposal has been announced.
