PATTAYA: A Muay Thai event titled “The Future Landmark 4Man Central” has been staged in Pattaya, featuring a four-man tournament in the 65-kilogram division along with six supporting bouts.

Thai and international fighters shared the card, including Rotgas Ek Bangsaen, Banlengsak Saksompong, Chanaleot K. Phetnamnueng, Fasithong S. Klinmee and Superbank Sit Jeenida, as well as boxers from Algeria and the United States.

Organizers said the event was held to promote martial arts and Muay Thai as both a cultural heritage and a spectator sport with growing appeal among Thai residents and foreign visitors. It was also intended to create a sports and entertainment activity capable of drawing local people and tourists into the atmosphere of Pattaya.

The staging of Muay Thai in the city is in line with efforts to promote sports tourism, linking athletic events with travel and the local economy. Officials said such programming adds color to Pattaya and creates additional business opportunities for operators and related industries.

“The Future Landmark 4Man Central” was presented as another activity using Muay Thai to bring sport, culture and tourism together, while supporting Pattaya’s drive to become an international sports tourism destination.
