PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya City is preparing to host the Diwali Pattaya Festival of Lights 2026 from November 13–15 at Central Pattaya Beach, working with the Pattaya Thai-Indian Business Association to promote cultural tourism and stimulate the local economy.
The festival will celebrate Diwali, the Indian Festival of Lights, through cultural activities and festivities designed to appeal to both Thai residents and international visitors. Organizers wish to strengthen Pattaya’s reputation as an international destination for tourism and cultural events while creating additional business opportunities for local entrepreneurs and promoting closer relations between Thailand and India.
Preparations involve coordination among relevant agencies and event organizers to ensure the festival runs smoothly and safely. Key arrangements include the event site, electrical systems, security, traffic management, medical personnel, ambulances and emergency vehicles, sanitation, waste disposal, mobile toilets, sound systems and public relations.
A major focus of the planning is the management of Central Pattaya Beach and surrounding areas, as three large events are scheduled to take place along the beachfront from November 13–15.
Alongside Diwali Pattaya Festival 2026, a beach volleyball competition organized by the Volleyball Association of Thailand will take place on the beach in front of Central Pattaya shopping mall. Chonburi Coffee on the Beach will also be held on the beachfront opposite the Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya.
With the three events potentially sharing parts of the same public space, Pattaya City is coordinating with the respective organizers to allocate areas appropriately and avoid conflicts. Planning includes the placement of sales booths, equipment and decorations, with an emphasis on public safety, orderly operations and maintaining access for residents and tourists.
Officials are also seeking to ensure that preparations for one event do not interfere with the activities of the others or disrupt the public’s use of the beachfront.
Pattaya City said cooperation between government agencies, private-sector partners and event organizers would be essential to delivering a successful Diwali festival while supporting tourism, generating local economic activity and reinforcing the city’s position as an international cultural destination.
