– More than 50 officers from Banglamung District, Pattaya City Police, Immigration and Tourist Police checked three venues starting at 10:06 p.m. on October 19th.
– They reviewed staff identity cards, foreign visitors’ documents, conducted random drug tests and inspected permits and fire-safety equipment. No illegal items, positive drug results or safety breaches were found.
– Officers reminded venues that customers must be searched for weapons and drugs and that underage entry is strictly banned, with prosecution for any violations.
– The operation also focused on preventing nominee arrangements. Similar multi-agency checks continue in the area, including a recent inspection of Fin UP that found six patrons testing positive for drugs.
Pattaya: Banglamung district officials and police inspected three entertainment venues late on October 19th and reported no violations of identity rules, drug laws, or fire-safety requirements.
The operation began at 10:06 p.m. under Anusak Piriyomorn, District Chief of Banglamung, Pol. Col. Anek Srathongyu, Chief of Pattaya City Police Station, and Pol. Lt. Col. Pramote Fueangfung of Chonburi Immigration. More than 50 officers from the district administration, Pattaya City Police, Immigration and Tourist Police took part. The stated goals were public safety and deterrence of nominee structures.
Teams carried out random checks at three venues. They examined Thai staff identity cards, foreign visitors’ identification documents and conducted urine tests for drugs. Officers also reviewed operating permits and fire-safety measures, including extinguishers, exit signs, alarm systems and emergency exits. All three venues were reported compliant, and no one tested positive for drugs or was found with illegal items.
During the inspections, officers publicized the rules that venues must search customers for weapons and drugs and that persons under the legal age are prohibited from entering. Any breaches, they said, will be prosecuted without exception.
The checks form part of ongoing joint operations in Pattaya’s nightlife areas. A multi-agency inspection of the Fin UP nightclub on Pattaya 3rd Road earlier the same week, for example, found six patrons with preliminary positive drug screens while the venue itself faced no reported violations.
National-level efforts against unlicensed venues and nominee ownership have also continued in nearby provinces.
