Mayor Poramese Ngampichet and city officials inspected Soi Chaiyapruek 2 park and green space and joined evening exercise activities

PATTAYA, October 1st, 2026: Pattaya Mayor Poramese Ngampichet and city executives visited Pattaya City Public Park on Soi Chaiyapruek 2 on Thursday evening to check readiness and formally open the more than 35-rai green space and park to the public, joining residents for exercise.

The mayor was accompanied by deputy mayors, members of the Pattaya City Council, the mayor’s secretary and assistant secretary, and department heads led by the city clerk. The group inspected the park before warming up and jogging along its internal paths with people using the grounds.

The atmosphere was lively but relaxed. Officials stopped to greet residents and take part in activities already under way, including tai chi, wushu, football, aerobics, basketball, and yoga.

Mayor Poramese said the city intends the park to serve everyone, for rest, walking, exercise, and family activities, and especially people who want a convenient, safe place to walk or run.

“I came out to run myself today, and I want to invite residents, particularly those who care about their health, to come and run and exercise together,” he said. “Use this park as a place to build good health and make the most of your free time. I want everyone to come walk, run, relax, and be happy here together.”

After the run, the mayor joined residents for a cooldown and stretching, posed for photographs, and listened to comments on management and facilities so the city can improve the park to better match public use.

The park, covering more than 35 rai on Soi Chaiyapruek 2, is open to people of all ages for walking, running, sports, relaxation, and group activities, in line with Pattaya’s efforts to promote health and quality of life.
