Pattaya: Nongnooch World Pattaya has signed a marketing agreement with Ctrip to promote itself on Trip.com as an international family destination, part of a broader rebrand away from its long-standing image as a botanical garden.

The memorandum of understanding was signed at 10:00 a.m. on October 14th at the site in Chonburi. Kampon Tansajja, chairman of Nongnooch World Pattaya, and Allen Peng, Ctrip’s regional manager for Southeast Asia attractions and tours business development, signed for their organisations. Under the deal, Ctrip will support joint marketing, sales promotions, and publicity on Trip.com in target markets, and the two sides will study ways to improve facilities and services for visitors from different countries.

Tansajja said the goal is not only higher numbers but also repeat visits and new audiences, by combining the garden’s attractions with Ctrip’s reach. He did not give visitor targets or a value for the cooperation.

The property, long known as Nongnooch Tropical Garden or สวนนงนุชพัทยา, has adopted the name Nongnooch World Pattaya. It is positioning itself under the English slogan “More Than a Beautiful Garden. A World for Every Family” and the claim “Pattaya’s Family Destination,” with the Thai line “สนุกทุกวัย เที่ยวได้ทั้งครอบครัว.” The site says it has more than 70 gardens plus attractions that include a dinosaur valley, an Egyptian-themed area, Thai cultural performances, and educational zones intended for mixed-age groups.

Trip.com, the international arm of the Chinese online travel group Ctrip, is one of the larger platforms used by outbound Chinese travellers and by visitors from other markets. Family travel has been a recovery focus for Thai operators seeking longer stays and higher spend after the post-pandemic rebound in Chinese arrivals. The MOU is a marketing and study agreement; it does not, on the details released, commit Ctrip to guaranteed bookings or Nongnooch to specific capital spending. The garden has signed other international cooperation deals before, including a 2025 research agreement with a Chinese partner on bougainvillea breeding.
