CHONBURI, Thailand: A 26-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash on Sukhumvit Road near Huai Yai Intersection in Na Jomtien, Sattahip district, shortly after midnight on Monday, October 12th, according to local rescue reports.

Sawang Rojanathammasathan Sattahip Foundation rescue volunteers received a report at approximately midnight of a motorcycle accident involving an unconscious person who could not be roused. Rescue personnel were dispatched to the scene.

They found a man lying beside the road with no detectable pulse. Rescue workers performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), but their efforts were unsuccessful. Medical personnel subsequently confirmed his death at the scene.

The deceased was identified as Jetsada Sittanon, aged 26. He had sustained severe injuries and substantial blood loss. A white Honda motorcycle with a Rayong registration plate was found fallen nearby, while a roadside rubbish bin had been badly damaged in the collision.

According to witness accounts, a foreign motorist travelling behind the motorcycle reportedly saw the rider moving at high speed and weaving from side to side before the crash. The motorist reportedly described the rider’s movements as resembling those of someone under the influence of alcohol.

The witness said the motorcycle rider subsequently lost control and struck the rubbish bin forcefully, throwing the rider from the bike. The motorcycle reportedly came to rest some distance away.

The account has not been independently confirmed. Police have not established whether alcohol or any other factor contributed to the crash, and no conclusion about impairment has been announced.

Na Jomtien Police documented the scene and said they would examine nearby CCTV footage as part of their investigation into the cause of the accident. The deceased’s body was handed over to rescue personnel for transfer to a hospital for a post-mortem examination.

The cause of the October 12th collision remains under investigation.
