SRI RACHA, Thailand – Laem Chabang Port is stepping up efforts to improve operational efficiency, safety and customer services under the Ministry of Transport’s “Rethink and Take Action” policy, with particular attention to traffic congestion, accidents and infrastructure maintenance.
On October 28th, 2026, Laem Chabang Port Deputy Director Weerachart Phuttharaksa chaired the seventh executive meeting of 2026 at Meeting Room 1 in the port administration building in Sri Racha, Chonburi. Port executives and relevant staff attended to review ongoing operations and discuss how to translate ministry policies into practical improvements.
The meeting addressed several key challenges within the port, including dredging the navigation channel to accommodate larger cargo vessels, improving traffic management, reducing accidents and repairing road surfaces.
These measures are intended to improve safety and make access and operations more convenient for port users.
Executives also reviewed comments and suggestions submitted by service users through social media. The feedback will be considered when planning both short-term improvements and longer-term service development, in line with the policy’s emphasis on identifying problems and implementing practical solutions that respond to users’ needs.
Separately, the Planning Division presented a proposal to develop a digital Dashboard providing operational data and statistics from port terminal operators. The proposed system would include information on inbound and outbound cargo container volumes, as well as progress updates on public-private partnership (PPP) projects.
The platform is intended to give executives easier access to historical and up-to-date information, supporting operational planning, performance monitoring and more effective decision-making.
The meeting also proposed seeking budget support to develop an AI-powered PPP Section Dashboard, designed to strengthen data monitoring and improve the management and oversight of major investment projects.
The meeting shows Laem Chabang Port’s focus on turning operational concerns and user feedback into concrete action, while strengthening safety and improving efficiency across its services.
