Pattaya City is working with a Korean charitable organization to explore ways of providing educational and essential living support to disadvantaged children in the area.

On October 30th, 2026, at 1 p.m., Pattaya Mayor Poramese Ngampichet and Deputy Mayor Damrongkiat Pinitkan welcomed a delegation from the Korean Association for Helping Children in Need of Food, led by its president, Kim Young-tae, together with representatives of Junior Chamber International (JCI) Chonburi City.

The meeting, held at Meeting Room 132 at Pattaya City Hall, was also attended by Dr. Suree Wanna, Director of the Pattaya Education Office. Discussions focused on coordinating assistance for children and young people in the city.

The Korean association is a public-benefit organization that carries out social welfare activities in several countries, supporting children at risk of food insecurity due to economic hardship.

During the meeting, the organization expressed its intention to provide educational scholarships and essential consumer goods to primary schools and orphanages in Pattaya. The proposed assistance is intended to benefit children affected by recent flooding and current economic conditions, helping ease hardship and improve their quality of life.

The delegation also sought Pattaya City’s advice on identifying suitable schools, institutions and communities to ensure that the assistance reaches disadvantaged children and families with the greatest need.

Mayor Poramese assigned the city’s Education Office to coordinate with relevant agencies and facilitate cooperation with the organization.

During the visit, the mayor and deputy mayor also invited the Korean delegation to take part in several Pattaya events scheduled for Saturday, October 31, including the Zombie Aerobic Ghost Dance at Royal Garden Plaza Pattaya, the Pattaya Halloween Festival fancy-dress parade along Walking Street, and the Pattaya International Bikini Beach Race 2026 at Central Pattaya.
