KHAO MAI KAEO: On September 26th, 2026, Khao Mai Kaeo Subdistrict Municipality Mayor Jamnian Keetheepakun, known as “Mayor Haeng,” led a team into Ban Phu Sai and Ban Thung Sa Kaeo to deliver survival kits and essential household supplies to residents affected by flooding. Some residents are calling it the worst in thirty years.
Accompanying him were Deputy Mayors Bancha Udong and Preecha Rengkhwanjai, members of the municipal council, and local administrative officials.
The team worked through steady rain, carrying aid from house to house, speaking with families, surveying damage, and listening to residents’ concerns.
Many households reported flooding that damaged homes and property and disrupted local travel. Officials said the rapid delivery of supplies was intended to ease immediate hardship and demonstrate that local authorities would stand with residents during the crisis.
“Khao Mai Kaeo Municipality is concerned for every family affected by the floods,” Mayor Jamnian said. “Even with continuous rain today, we still had to go out and put aid directly into people’s hands, survey the damage, and hear their problems so we can consider further assistance under the relevant regulations and our official authority. I want residents to know that the municipality and all partners will not abandon them, and we will do everything we can to relieve their hardship.”
The mayor also instructed officials to monitor rainfall closely, inspect high-risk areas that remain affected, and stay ready to respond quickly if heavier rain or additional runoff occurs.
Officials described the rain-soaked visit as both an emergency relief effort and a show of support, set at helping flood-affected families get through the situation safely.
Banglamung has been hit particularly hard locally by the floods and the Banglamung sub district mayor has also been delivering aid and surveying the situation.
