PATTAYA: An Iranian DJ working in Pattaya has gone public after he says an acquaintance took a bag containing his DJ controller and laptop, leaving him without the tools he needs to work. The equipment is valued at about 28,000 baht.
Siamak, 30, said he brought CCTV footage to The Pattaya News reporters after the theft of a bag holding mixing equipment and a notebook computer. Without those tools, he said, he can no longer work as a DJ.
Reporters checked the account on Tuesday, September 29th, 2026. Siamak said the incident happened on September 21st at about 7:27 p.m. inside a karaoke venue in Pattaya.
He said that around 6 p.m. that day he left the bag at the DJ booth and returned to his dormitory briefly before his shift. When he returned around midnight to prepare for work, the bag was gone. Staff and others at the venue said they had not seen it. CCTV, he said, shows a foreign acquaintance picking up the bag from 7:27 p.m.
Inside the bag, he said, were a Pioneer DDJ-400 DJ controller and a Sony laptop, with total losses of about 28,000 baht. He later contacted the person, who promised to return the bag. It has not been returned.
Siamak appealed for the items to be given back, saying he is struggling without the equipment he uses to earn a living.
He has filed a complaint with investigators at Pattaya City Police Station and asked officers to locate the suspect, whose name has not yet been publicly released pending mediation and to be brought in for questioning and possible charges.
