PATTAYA, Thailand – Four defendants in a case involving the killings of three members of a Thai family linked to a case of the killings of two Russian siblings have pleaded guilty to all nine charges filed against them by prosecutors, during a hearing at Pattaya Provincial Court on Monday, October 26, 2026.
The hearing began at 9:30 a.m. in criminal case number Aor. 1138/2569, with the Pattaya Provincial Prosecutor acting as the plaintiff against Thanat, known by the nickname “Pong,” Kerdthong and three co-defendants identified as Thong, Ball, and Fluke.
The prosecution formally filed charges against the four men on October 22nd, and the court accepted the case for consideration. Monday’s hearing was scheduled for the court to take their pleas.
Before proceedings began, the court asked the defendants whether they had legal counsel. They stated that they did not wish to have lawyers. The court then read and explained the indictment before asking each defendant to enter a plea. All four admitted the charges as presented by the prosecution.
The nine charges cover a range of alleged offences connected to the case:
1. Joint possession of firearms and ammunition without authorization.
2. Carrying firearms in a town, village, or public place without authorization or reasonable grounds.
3. Trespassing at a residence at night, with two or more people and while armed.
4. Unlawfully impersonating public officials and acting in that capacity.
5. Unlawfully detaining or confining people and depriving them of their freedom.
6. Armed robbery at a residence at night, allegedly involving disguises intended to make the perpetrators appear to be police officers, the use of firearms and a vehicle, and resulting in a death.
7. Premeditated murder, allegedly committed to facilitate another offence, obtain benefits, conceal a crime, or evade punishment.
8. Concealing, burying, moving, or destroying bodies to obscure the deaths or their causes.
9. Interfering with bodies or crime scenes before the completion of post-mortem examinations in a manner that could affect the findings or investigation.
The case is connected to the investigation into the deaths of Russian siblings Diana Nazimova, 22, and her brother Roman Nazimov, 17, who disappeared in July 2026. Investigators traced the siblings’ disappearance to the same group of suspects, and the investigation led police to the burial site of the Thai family in Huai Yai.
We previously reported on the discovery of the Russian siblings’ bodies and the investigation’s expansion to the deaths of the Thai family of three here. Police said the suspects’ statements and inquiries connected the two cases, although the prosecutions are proceeding under separate case files.
Following the guilty pleas in the Thai family case, the prosecution requested that witnesses be called to provide evidence supporting the admissions. The court scheduled prosecution witness testimony for November 23rd, 2026, at 9:00 a.m.
The case has attracted significant public attention because of the deaths of three members of a Thai family and its connection to the separate Russian siblings case. The latest hearing marks a further step in the judicial proceedings, with the court process continuing in accordance with the law. The two main suspects in the killing of the Russian siblings also recently plead guilty to all charges as reported here.
