Pratumnak has a new favourite place to start the day. Booties Sports Bar opened on Pratumnak Soi 5 on the 1st of August 2026, and after a visit with a friend I can report that it gets three things right: the food, the welcome and the sport.
First impressions
Walk in and the first thing you notice is the scale. A floating timber staircase with glass balustrades rises through a double-height room, under exposed wooden beams strung with warm geometric pendant lights. Polished concrete, stone-clad walls and a backlit bar stocked floor to ceiling give it the feel of a smart city sports lounge rather than a beer bar.
Seating runs across several levels, from high tables by the bar to booths and an upstairs gallery looking straight down at the main screen. The venue calls itself “Pattaya’s newest home of live sports, great food, and unforgettable nights”, and it lives up to the billing.
Breakfast and the daytime menu: the real reason to go
Booties may be a sports bar, but its daytime kitchen is the headline act. Breakfast is served from 8am right through to 4pm every day, so whether you are an early riser, a post-golf diner or someone who simply likes a late, lazy start, you will never miss it. And with the full menu available from 8am until 12:30am, you can order anything you like, whenever you like.
The breakfast menu is the star. Hearty Western breakfasts sit alongside European favourites and Thai classics, all cooked fresh to order and served in generous portions. If you prefer the local way to start the day, Head Chef San’s Thai rice plates arrive topped with a golden fried egg, fresh chilli and fragrant holy basil. It is proper food, made with care, and it shows.
The setting makes it even better.
Settle into air-conditioned comfort with a fresh coffee or a smoothie and linger over breakfast while the overnight football, a European race or live AFL plays on the giant screen. Morning kick-offs from the UK, Europe and Australia suddenly make perfect sense in Pattaya, and there is no better seat in town to watch them.
It is great value, too. A recent Tripadvisor reviewer paid around US$9 for a grilled chicken sandwich with pineapple, cheese and egg plus a watermelon smoothie, and called the food “outstanding”.
Breakfast: 8am to 4pm, every day
Full menu: 8am to 12:30am, every day
Style: Western, European and Thai breakfasts, cooked fresh
Best with: fresh coffee, a smoothie and the morning’s live sport
Beyond breakfast
The rest of the daytime menu is just as strong, and it is all available from 8am. Our thin, crisp-based pizza came split between pepperoni on one half and ham, mushroom, black olive and anchovy on the other, served on a wooden board. The sticky glazed chicken wings, finished with sesame seeds and spring onion with a spicy dip on the side, were the perfect match for the match.
There is also a steak sandwich served with fries, salad and a creamy dip, plus a strong line in Thai plates. Head Chef San, beaming in his embroidered whites, clearly enjoys what he does, and it shows on the plate. The cocktail list is worth a look too: our creamy house cocktail arrived with a cherry and a carved garnish.
Every sport, on every screen
The centrepiece is a giant screen that stretches almost the full width of the terrace, and it may well be the biggest sports screen in the city. On our visit it was showing the AFL finals, Hawthorn against Brisbane Lions late in the third quarter, and from the upstairs tables it felt like having a seat at the MCG.
Around it, banks of UHD screens above the bar and throughout the room cover Premier League football, rugby, golf, motorsport and more, so different groups can follow different games at once. When the sport pauses, there are pool tables with fresh blue cloth and a dartboard to keep things competitive.
The staff
The team at Booties makes the place. From the welcome at the door to the service at the table, the staff were friendly, attentive and quick with a smile. They will happily recommend a dish, bring out a cocktail with a flourish, or even rack up the balls for a game of pool.
The verdict
Booties Sports Bar is the complete package for Pratumnak: a stylish room, a huge screen, warm service and, above all, a breakfast worth getting up for. Breakfast runs from 8am to 4pm, so drop in any time, order a full breakfast and a coffee, and settle in for the day’s live sport. We will be back.
