Prachuap Khiri Khan tourism figures show a modest decline in visitors and revenue during the first eight months of 2026, with the province recording 7.67 million visitors and generating 35.37 billion baht.
According to the Prachuap Khiri Khan Provincial Office of Tourism and Sports, visitor numbers fell 1.11%, or 85,681, compared with January–August 2025. Tourism revenue decreased 0.99%, equivalent to 352.16 million baht.
The figures cover the whole province, including Hua Hin, rather than Hua Hin alone.
Domestic visitors dominate Prachuap Khiri Khan tourism
Thai visitors accounted for approximately 93.5% of the total, with 7,166,814 visits recorded, down 1.14% year on year. They generated 30.14 billion baht in revenue, a decline of 1.23%.
Foreign visitor numbers fell 0.64% to 498,945. However, revenue from this group edged up 0.47% to 5.23 billion baht.
The province recorded 4,014,320 accommodation guests during the eight-month period, down 2.09% from a year earlier.
Average occupancy fell to 64.51%, compared with 66.39% during the same period in 2025.
In August alone, Prachuap Khiri Khan recorded 930,057 visitors, comprising 869,965 Thai visitors and 60,092 foreign visitors. Tourism revenue for the month totalled approximately 4 billion baht.
Accommodation providers recorded 472,911 guests in August, with an occupancy rate of 67.36%.
The province ranked sixth nationally for visitor numbers and ninth for tourism revenue in the summary.
