The Minigolf Open Asian Championships 2026 will take place in Pak Nam Pran from 11–14 November, with 81 players from 11 countries expected to compete.
Minigolf Sport Pranburi will host the championships for the first time, bringing together players from Asia and Europe, including several world and European champions.
The Thailand Minigolf Federation is organising the event with support from the World Minigolf Federation and the Asia Minigolf Federation. It will be the fifth time Thailand has hosted the championships, following editions in Chiang Mai in 2008, 2012, 2018 and 2024.
Players will compete in individual, team and mixed pairs stroke play. The individual competition has six categories: senior women, senior men, youth girls, youth boys, general class women and general class men.
The Asian contingent includes teams from Japan, South Korea, India and Iran. European players will represent Switzerland, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Sweden, Norway and Finland.
Among those listed by organisers are Germany’s Vanessa Peuker and Dennis Kapke, Finland’s Marko Nuotio and Sweden’s Peter Eriksson.
Organisers identify Peuker as the reigning women’s world champion and Nuotio as the reigning senior world champion in adventure golf and the current senior men’s world ranking leader. Kapke has won multiple world titles, while Eriksson has won multiple European and world titles.
Players will have six days of practice before the championships to familiarise themselves with the course.
Competitive minigolf requires concentration, careful ball selection and knowledge of how each hole plays.
Spectators are welcome, and food and drinks will be available at the on-site restaurant.
