Hua Hin beach covered in debris after storm

ที่มา: Hua Hin Today

A large amount of debris washed onto Hua Hin beach following heavy rain and stormy conditions on Wednesday evening, 7 October.

Plastic items, glass bottles and drinks cans were scattered across the sand alongside wood fragments, coconuts and marine plants.

The latest debris adds to material that has washed ashore in recent days.

Seasonal phenomenon

Teams from several beachfront hotels were seen collecting debris on Thursday morning. Further clean-up work by local public agencies is expected, although the timing has yet to be confirmed.

The Gulf of Thailand’s coastline, particularly along Hua Hin, is subjected annually to a phenomenon known as the “Kite Wind” during the monsoon months of October to November.

This year, the winds and waves have brought an unusually large amount of garbage to the shores.
